Vernadine De Jesus obtained her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She was born in Manila, Philippines and migrated to the United States as a young child. Vernadine’s experience spans upon working with children and families at a school-based non-profit agency in addition to serving young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder as a Life Skills Coach. She brings to Heart Theory an integrative lens of the body mind and emotions with her expertise on the body, having been a certified yoga coach for children and adults. Vernadine has experience working with children, young adults, families, and individuals who have neurocognitive challenges, mental health disorders, and those experiencing disruption in their daily functioning due to emotional, cognitive, and social challenges.  Vernadine utilizes mindful awareness practices along with integrated modern approaches to therapy in hopes of enhancing clients’ self-awareness, acceptance, resilience, and overall quality of life. Her goal is to make an impact by providing guidance and therapeutic services so clients feel empowered to achieve their goals independently while creating long lasting beneficial changes. She is very passionate about perceiving wellness in a holistic way as well as in supporting clients to achieve personal harmony by way of highlighting their own strengths and exploring their truest potential through the heart, mind and body.
